American Airlines and the Disney “Planes” Movie

American Airlines rebranded and partnered with Disney, featuring the new 777 in the movie "Planes." First, we named the 777 character “Tripp” and created an integrated campaign themed around “Inspiration from the Sky.” Print ads directed users to a website where they could choose characters and explore exclusive movie content. An immersive airport experience allowed travelers to “fly” as their favorite character using motion capture, offering daily specials and exclusive content. The site and experience tracked flight miles, resulting in over 2.3 million miles donated to the Miles for Kids charity.
